License Plates for your imported vehicle

When your car has been customized (if necessary) and has received a European Approval, it's time to have the car fit with license plates. To obtain these, the vehicle has to be technically inspected and approved by the RDW (Dutch Department of Motor Vehicles). This organization determines if the vehicle meets the Dutch safety regulations and European standards. If your vehicle is approved, you still have to pay the Dutch Vehicle Tax (BPM) first before receiving the license plates.

SCL Rotterdam can take care of this technical inspection and approval for your vehicle. Combined with any technical customizations that might be necessary and the required documents from Dutch Customs we will make sure that license plates are arranged for your vehicle as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: all BPM (if any) has to be paid before license plates can be obtained for your vehicle. The manufacturing of license plates usually takes 3-5 working days.
